Gleeeeeeeeeeeee.
Aug. 29th, 2006 03:48 pmI am in a fabulous mood today, and I have no freaking idea why. Maybe it's because it's the first day of school and all those squealing midgets that keep me awake during the days have been in school all day long. I don't normally hate kids, but when they're keeping me up, I get pissy.
*sigh* I want to go back to school for a day. Can I do that? Just go do homework and take a test and eat really bad cafeteria food? Not for more than a day or two or I'll remember I was an unpopular geek in school. Maybe I could just settle for raiding Staples for school supplies and buying more clothes. Which I can't, because I'm broke. *sighs again*
Also, I have my X-Men checks and no toothache today. Wheeeeee! \o/
I was thinking about NaNoWriMo yesterday while I was making a list of stuff with deadlines I've got to finish soon. (Two more
spn_flashback prompts,
spn_remix, and
xmmficathon. And I'm so going to get that Project Runway crossover written if it kills me. There, now I've got it written down somewhere.) Two years ago, I did The Walking Dead of Wilkes-Barre. Last year, I worked on The Vampires of Vandling, although I didn't get to finish thanks to the crappy computer. (It was broken that long? BAH. *gags*) This year, I'm going to try and put a dent in The Sorcerers of Scranton. It should be a nice change, because that's the only one of the books with an empty file, aside from the basic plot. But planning ahead for it means I can start working on the details now.
I know I haven't said anything about The 4400 the past few weeks, mostly because I'm too stupid to set a VCR, but I think my opinion on the last few episodes of this season can be summed up in one comment: ( Spoilery comment )
EDIT: I opened my mouth too fucking soon about the toothache. *wince*
Also, I should not look at the
wtf27 prompts, becase they're horribly tempting for somebody who writes as much crackfic as I do.
Also, thanks to
clex_monkie89, I'm now going to spend the rest of the night thinking there needs to be J-squared fic with this as a prompt.
SON OF EDIT: I may be having a good old-fashioned game of Movie Quotes Tag this weekend. And a Labor Day LJ costume party, just for the hell of it. Yup, that's the kind of mood I'm in. :)
