Lin was lip-syncing to the sound of another girl, 7-year-old Yang Peiyi, who was heard but not seen, apparently because she was deemed not cute enough. Oh, BRILLIANT. And this quote is lovely -- Another [Chinese blogger] said, "If foreigners found out, they'd think we can't even find a girl who is good at both." Bullshit. You want to know what this foreigner thinks? That the kid who really did sing really is cute, and that anybody who's so freaking worried about whether or not a nine-year-old female singer is pretty anyway needs to talk to a professional.
