I now have the fourth Indiana Jones movie from Netflix. I don't get to watch it until I finish chapter three of The Hollow Girl. Which I don't get to do until I down some ibuprofen, take a shower, and eat breakfast.

*pouts*

(I'm acting just like my grandpa, I swear. Five minutes after I finish watching something from Netflix, I'm down at the post office dropping it in the Netflix slot again.)

Sure, [McCain] expected to just make an apology and crack a bunch of jokes, but Letterman brought his A-game and asked him about how he pals around with G. Gordon Liddy, who has gleefully committed felonies, plotted violent attacks against his political enemies and called for the assassination of federal law enforcement officers. But he's a Republican, so it's apparently ok.

Dear mainstream media,

Please stop letting late-night talk show hosts ask the hard questions for you. It's embarrassing, is what it is.

EDIT: Oh, and if you don't like Vanessa on Gossip Girls, that's okay -- the author doesn't either. (She doesn't have anything against the actress, though, a sentiment I share. I don't know ... the character just feels shoehorned into the story to me when she should be more of a part of it, I guess. *shrugs*)

OTHER EDIT: Also, since there were far too many McCain signs in the area for me (although there are quite a few Obama signs, don't get me wrong), I taped my big Obama/Biden pin to my front door. Now let's see if we can make it three weeks without somebody doing something nasty to my front door. (Then again, if they really wanted to, the town barber's front window is filled with Obama signs.)

Then again, I ended it in a place I hadn't planned on ending it on, which worked fine but ... uh, now I have to figure out where chapter four goes. Le sigh.

Nation could face short election night.

I'm not counting my chickens, but it'd be nice to have a short election night, at least for me. I have to work that night and they won't let us listen to the radio, so somebody -- one of you, my brother, somebody -- is going to have to text me the results. Which kinda sucks, but at the same time it's probably a good thing. If by some miracle (considering pretty much every projection's saying Obama will win handily) McCain took it, it's probably a good thing I'm far, far away from the internet, the TV, and am pretty much cut off from anybody saying anything stupid, which is bound to happen.

I'm killing time until I'm going out for Jess's birthday.
