-- So I was screwing around on YouTube and I rewatched the speech Obama made at the 2004 DNC, and in retrospect it's just ... wow. Damn. Also, when he said, "The hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too," I may have shouted, "Damn right, and it's in the fucking Oval Office!"

Someone stop me from watching any more Obama videos. I know I'm still on a high, but this is ridiculous.

-- I'm getting the last two episodes of Merlin right now, so hopefully I can watch them before I go to sleep. I also seriously have to try to finish The Orphanage. It's been sitting on my computer desk for a week and I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet. *pouts*

-- I have to clean my apartment tomorrow, if only because I still haven't called the landlord about the washing machine and dryer and he can't come here when it's looking this bad. (It's not like anything out of one of those Oprah episode where she invades the homes of pack rats, but still.)

-- I'm supposed to have overtime tomorrow and I really wish I turned it down. There's a definite chance it'll get cancelled, but with my luck that's where I'll be tomorrow night. *sigh*

The Hollow Girl -- It was only three chapters, and I sent it to two people so it wasn't like I couldn't get them again, but then Gmail ate, like, four weeks of emails and it took digging through the trash folder to find them.

The Grand Prize Winner -- Well, the fact that I've barely touched it in the past few months is probably a good thing now. The file I sent to my email just in case is missing about seven thousand words but all of the finished chapters are there, and luckily I still have the outline with the printouts of what I had written for the rest of it up on my wall. So I've got a bit of typing to do in the future but it's not going to end up being too terrible to fix, I don't think.

Nearly Departed -- All of the overtime exhausted the crap out of me (exactly like Jess and I said it probably would the last day of work) so I've only just gotten the amount of words done that I had done before the computer crashed, which was pretty much nothing. On the plus side, I have Monday and Tuesday off and during the day Wednesday to beef up. So I'm just going to go on Write or Die those two days and do hour-long sessions on kamikaze mode.

As for the Books of Boggs and the original draft of Dead Men in Dark Suits and all of the stuff that I haven't touched in months, they're all on my flash drive, so no worries there, thank God.

*sigh* I really need a new fucking laptop. Sheesh.
