-- So I was screwing around on YouTube and I rewatched the speech Obama made at the 2004 DNC, and in retrospect it's just ... wow. Damn. Also, when he said, "The hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too," I may have shouted, "Damn right, and it's in the fucking Oval Office!"

Someone stop me from watching any more Obama videos. I know I'm still on a high, but this is ridiculous.

-- I'm getting the last two episodes of Merlin right now, so hopefully I can watch them before I go to sleep. I also seriously have to try to finish The Orphanage. It's been sitting on my computer desk for a week and I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet. *pouts*

-- I have to clean my apartment tomorrow, if only because I still haven't called the landlord about the washing machine and dryer and he can't come here when it's looking this bad. (It's not like anything out of one of those Oprah episode where she invades the homes of pack rats, but still.)

-- I'm supposed to have overtime tomorrow and I really wish I turned it down. There's a definite chance it'll get cancelled, but with my luck that's where I'll be tomorrow night. *sigh*

I have the 2004 DNC speech on my iPod too and listened to it on Friday, half in tears AGAIN. I think I just have to accept that I will be this giddy all the way through till the inauguration. But real life -- cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 12-14 people, Christmas, work, going to Kansas for the holidays -- will probably dampen that some.
