apocalypsos: (i'm walking in the doorway)
Otis has been a bit distant since yesterday which ... okay, fine, whatever. But he was walking a bit stiffly, which I just attributed to him squeezing his big old butt into the cubby in the cat house and staying there all damn day.

And then this morning I pulled him out from under the dining room table to give him a snuggle, laid him down on the bed, and tried to pet his tummy. Every time I pet him up higher on his tummy, he'd meow in this crying way, which he was also doing earlier this morning as well. Then I got up to go to the computer, and that's when he got to walk away -- limping with his front left paw raised, which was the side that he didn't want me to pet.

He also left a big yellowish stain on the bed that smelled awful, but not like urine. It wasn't vomit -- he does that gagging thing before he vomits and does it loudly -- and I thought it smelled more like that awful smell dogs make when you express their anal glands.

Soooooo, yeah. Now I get to spend the entire day worrying about my cat while I'm at work and Bryan's annoyed because he has to take the cat to the vet for me.
apocalypsos: (i think that's going to leave a mark)
- He's just under 13 pounds. So, er, not that skinny.

- Simon did bite him, so my mom put Simon into seclusion at her house and the vet pumped Otis full of antibiotics and fluids.

- He was also dehydrated and feverish.

-Did I mention he's a butterball? Heh. Chunky monkey. :)
