He got me so damn bad. I'd actually relaxed and stopped looking at the clock! They were together, of *course* it was all going to be okay!!!

Blindsided. Absofuckinglutely blindsided.

I know. I just had a ranting entry myself. And then I ran upstairs to tell my dad all about this episode; of course, he had no clue what I was spouting, but I JUST NEED TO RAVE ON ABOUT MY UTTER ANGUISH.

None of my other friend have watched it yet *pouts* If I were still back at college, I could've tied them down to the coach and forced them to see it with me. But no, stupid summer break when everyone's split across the US...

Hahaha Chuck is an awesome possum. I HOPE CASS (and his host) ENDS UP OKAY.

Here's an interesting question...

If there are in fact four Archangels who have spoken to God, and they are the upper management, then either God doesn't care, or God wants to see where loyalties lie, and next season, quite a few other angels are going to fall.

Can you see John, Mary, Pastor Jim, possibly Dean and Sam, being taken to Heaven to become angels? See Elijah, and Enoch for examples thereof. Imagine the angels forced to become humans as punishment for Hubris.

well, traditionally there are four: Michael (the guy in the portrait, btw, killing the dragon, who is Lucifer), Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel.

Uriel seems to have been demoted in Kripke's cosmology, though, so who the hell knows.

Hey, did they ever mention which one is watching over Chuck?

I'm picturing John Travola.

You know, Michael? It would seem appropriate.

Judaism doesn't consider Archangels to be the highest.

Weren't Seraphim the highest choir? Archs were just below, I think.

Type of angel. They were the highest GROUP. There were individual angels even higher.

Alan Rickman, for example, was traditionally the man Enoch, brought into Heaven and made into the spokesperson for God.

(nodnods) Admittedly, I was raised Catholic. It's been a very, very long time since I read any angel theology though.

Neither does Christianity! (Not that I'm a Christian, but it's all fun to study). The archangels are just above the angels, who are the lowest of the heavenly orders, but also the most in touch with humans. There's lots of room to move!

Depends. Metatron is the scribe of God, but some say he is Enoch brought to Heaven and made Angelic. He and Elijah are the two this is said to have happened to (and one of the reasons Jesus is not considered to be the Messiah, as Elijah wasn't with him).

Kabbalah is the source for a lot of this.
