Date: 2009-05-24 12:09 am (UTC)Also, New Zealand pride :) I find it interesting that this movie was so well-received overseas, whereas I come at it having studied the Maori language for a few years (although I'm white) and having grown up surrounded by the Maori culture. If it translates that well without the context, it must really be insanely well done!
