Are they still showing auditions next week or will they cut to the chase and get to the routines? ^^;; I love SYTYCD, but the auditions always hit my embarrassment squick hard. I just want to tune in for the contestants.

They're still doing the auditions. I think this is the last week of it, though -- they just said the last stop is Seattle, which they're doing later.

I'm amazed my embarrassment squick doesn't kick in for this show. It sure as hell kicks in pretty much nonstop while watching American Idol, all the way down to the end.

I.... mute and look away at all the bad performanes-- I swear with this show and the auditions you develop a sixth sense of STOP OMG. ESPECIALLY when Nigel is about to talk. Yesterday I cringed every time Tyce opened his mouth - he is MEAN.

I dunno... seeing the moments of glory that do occur make it worth going through the muck?

I think the audition section can be summed up by this text conversation while I was watching the show tonight:
Friend- Am doing improv practice. My brain hurts.
Me- Yeah, well, I'm watching SYTYCD auditions, my cringe reflex hurts.

I love that show, but if it's possible to do a full-body facepalm, I'm doing one every five minutes.
