Luckily -- if you want to call it that -- nearly all of the cast in the first half-hour sucked on whole-wheat toast, so I could switch back and forth between that and I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant, where a woman having a relapse of her MS had twins. Er, surprise! Heh.

Anyway, this is Lawrence Beaman singing "Old Man River," and it's goddamn amazing. DAMN.

This is Bree. She's 17 and performing a Jonas Brothers song, and she's actually really fabulous.

Bree has made me want to listen to the Jonas Brothers. Or something. *runs away to find more shamefully addictive music*

I have no idea of Beaman has any interest in musical theater, but with more training he can totally fill a slot somewhere in between Brian Stokes Mitchell and Chuck Cooper. Lovely voice.

Holy cow, Beaman's voice made me tear up. And need to watch that again, because...holy cow. There's just something about LOW NOTES.

Also, I really want to see him sing something from Porgy and Bess now...
