Oh, Nick. Honey. Velvet? No. No, let's not do that.

EDIT: Also, do we HAVE to take five from tonight's show? Tonight's lineup sucks on toast. Is this the bottom ten? 'Cause the Beale Street Flippers is better than all ten of the ones who got there without a wildcard, seriously.

OTHER EDIT: I like Carol Loo, but ... no, sweetie. That said, when Sharon said Carol reminded her of Madonna, all I could think of is, "I've seen photos of Madonna lately, and Carol actually looks BETTER."

APPALLED EDIT: OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE THE TEXAS TENORS ARE SINGING LEE GREENWOOD I THINK I'M GOING TO VOMIT I HATE THAT SONG.

The Fab Five did well, I thought, and Charles Dewayne had a really good performance, even if his song choice was a bit questionable ("Just The Two Of Us"? Eh ...). But those two and the Beale Street Flippers are the only three I thought might do well or deserve to go through past tonight. The Texas Tenors, maybe, depending on how they do tonight. Everybody else ... *makes face*

Meh. So far:

-- Carol Loo was as embarrassing as you can imagine.
-- Tony and Rory missed a lot of Frisbees.
-- Eleisha Miller STILL CAN'T SING. Jesus, somebody needs to get that kid to acting classes, because she can't sing or play piano and her dancing is ... approaching talent, but not quite. Honestly, I think she would have made a FABULOUS kid comedian, but instead she's doing this. Ugh.

Huh. Paradizo Dance was actually really good and she only lifted him once. They made more use of the fact that he can lift her easily rather than the other way around and it worked for them.

Yeah...Eleisha Miller is a great kid, I'm sure, but she got in mostly on the cuteness factor - and not much else.

Awww I liked the dog act. Maybe they can still make it through based on the rest of the lineup.

Right now I think the Fab Five, Charles Dewayne, Paradizo Dance and the Texas Tenors are the top four. I'm not thrilled at ALL with the Texas Tenors' song choice, but I can't say they didn't sing stupid Lee Greenwood badly. And I think if anybody's going to slide out of that top four it'll be Charles Dewayne because his song choice was a little meh.

If it makes you feel any better, the Beale Street Flippers are or can be total douches.

Oh, yeah? Do tell. I love gossip. :)

I don't think they really have a chance. I'm guessing it's going to be the Fab Five, Paradizo Dance (my two are definites), The Texas Tenors ("I'm Proud To Be An American" is pretty much begging for it), Charles Dewayne (regardless of the questionable song choice), and SQ Entertainment (they weren't spectacular, but they did well enough with last night's lackluster talent pool).

They perform on Beale but do not own or license the street. We took some quick pictures on our wedding night and they came up and wanted to perform and were quite rude to our photographer about us moving along quickly off their *public street.*

I should clarify that I was in my wedding dress, Stephen was in his tux, and we were literally there for four minutes.
