Ooo, did I mention I bought my first Peeps of the season yesterday? I like my Peeps stale, though, so I'm going to have to wait a few days to eat them.

My Peeps aren't hard enough to eat until they kick down the front door and head out to beat the crap out of some bikers.

Eee! There are others like me, wow. I've never met anyone else who likes their peeps stale. I already have my first set air drying for Easter. :)

Dude, I once got my mother a set of bat Peeps for Halloween, and after two weeks of sitting open on the hutch, they still hadn't gone stale.

Instead of just grumbling and eaiting them that way, my mom called up the company and complained bitterly when she found out they'd put some weird agent in the Peeps that kept them fresh longer. That's my mom for you. :)

My husband thinks I'm a freak for liking them, and he thinks I'm even more of a freak for liking them properly aged.

We should, like, start a community. stale_peeps_fans or something. Because nobody else understands. :D

I always had to hide my stale peeps from my mother, otherwise she would see the open packages and trash them. Finally I explained the peep must breath, just like red wine. (I may have also said that un-stale peeps are the evilest of evil and eating them would bring death and fiery pink destruction upon one's house, but hey, I was always melodramatic).
