That green thing is Otis's blanket. I bought it for myself, Otis promptly commandeered it and only occasionally releases it to my custody. I never get dirtier looks than I do when I grab that one instead of the electric blanket to snuggle under.

Aw, cute kitty. It is soft and fuzzee and therefore mine, huh? One of my dogs has called dibs on a scrap yarn afghan while I'm still crocheting it. Has to sit on the trailing end while I'm trying to work.

Exactly. It's one of those fuzzy blankets he has to knead with his paws for ten minutes before getting settled. :)

oooh I think I know that dirty look. I get it when I dare sit on the couch or the big chair. They're both comfortable, slightly fluffy and we have equally fluffy blankets on both.

Therefore, clearly, we should be sitting on the hardwood floor ALL THE TIME.

But, don't you know the only reason we pay rent is to ensure that the pets have an appropriate throne and blanket? Why is there that room for other people in the bed if not for the dog to sleep there?
