I'm at the cafe! That's where I am! I haven't been here in, like, two months. \o/

Also, it's open mike night. It seems to be teenage girl night, and while the last girl sounded like an off-key Juno, this one has an absolutely gorgeous voice. Wow, she should sing for the whole night one of these days.

Ooo, ooo, and guess who has two thumbs and tons of overtime this weekend? THIS BITCH RIGHT HERE. I'm pretty much going to be getting time and a half to stuff envelopes for two days. I won't get a day off until next weekend, and that's if I don't take overtime then too, but if it pulls me even with my bills I don't even care.

Also, question! For those of you who know waaaay more about taxes than I do (which is probably all of you, honestly) -- if I worked for the first two months or so of last year, and the last three or so months, and then in between they were taking taxes out of my unemployment the entire time, what are the odds I'll even get anything back as a return this year? Frankly, I'm just hoping I don't have to pay too much, so if I got anything at all, so getting anything back at all would be a nice surprise.

EDIT: Okay, this girl is REALLY good. She needs a bit of practice on the higher notes but for the most part she's got a damn good voice.

Kick ass with the overtime. I think you deserve to do as much as you can without loosing an eye. That's awesome.

And you should probably be getting a refund- by working so little, your annual income should drop you into the lowest bracket.

I'm the only one working two full shifts this weekend. I'm only worried that they may put me on the phones, but I think it's more likely they'll put in the mailroom. Hey, if they want to throw money at me to alphabetize mail for two days straight, GIMME. :)

I'm hoping if I work enough overtime I can pull even with all of my bills just in time that if I do get a refund, I can get a new toy of some sort. I need a new MP3 player or a new laptop, but if I really luck out, I may get an eReader instead. Of course, it all depends on how far ahead I am. *crosses fingers*

I should think you would get a refund. I barely cracked 14,000 (highest year ever by like 5000! whoot!) and part of it was working on contract where I pay my own taxes (which I didn't because of medical bills) and I should still be getting a bit of a refund. Not much, but some, and I at least won't pay in!

I can't estimate how much, but sites like turbo tax have a calculator. I have my taxes done professionally because of my career... auditing me is always a possibility to make sure I don't take bribes.

As if I would be this broke if I took bribes! **eyeroll** And as if I would endanger my job and my cert...
