Grr, yes! And I have *no* idea how to sew, so I end up rolling them up and then duct-taping them so they stay!

Gap. Ankle length. Find a sale and they're quite affordable. Not only that, but I've had pairs for four years that didn't fall apart. They're also the only place that has jeans that fit me perfectly, even though I've got a severe hourglass figure going on; they also have a cut that fits a friend who usually feels more comfortable in men's jeans. Gap jeans are the alpha and omega. Gap jeans are the answer to world peace. Gap jeans are a friend to children.

I mean, except for the ones who probably made them.

Yeah, I have huge blind spots in my social consciousness.

I've got the opposite jeans problem, or I used to: needing to buy them hugely baggily oversized just to get them long enough.

And I didn't watch the awards (any more than I'll be watching the Oscars -- I didn't even realize an awards show was airing this weekend, frankly), but I'm giggling at the description of the LotR actors onstage anyway.
