Oh, man, I so want to! I want to wait until it gets warm enough to be walking-around weather and then either hit up NYC or Philly or DC one weekend because it's been so long since I've hit any museums and I'm getting the shakes. :)

well, make sure and let me know if you choose NYC. And I suspect you'll want to visit The Rose Reading Room @ NYPL as well - http://newyorkdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2006/08/rose-reading-room.html

Luckily it's essentially across the street from the Library Hotel

If I ever get to New York, I really shouldn't book a room there. I wouldn't see anything of the city. o.O

Oh yeah, I think I saw this place on the Travel Channel a long time ago. The doors were even marked with the Dewey Decimal system. Don't have time to explore that site right now, but heh, bookmarking.

Isn't it gorgeous? It would be my dream to have a hugely successful writer and just live there permanently. Bliss.

Even crappy New York hotels are costly: back when there was still a Howard Johnsons in Manhattan, one of their creepy little rooms (where they bolted the cheesy furniture to the floor) cost $175 a night.. Might as well pay just a bit more and stay in an incredible place like that!

Stunning! and for a NY hotel not outrageously priced. what a lovely concept.

Certainly puts the place I work at to shame.
