Since I didn't say anything about AI this week, I'll sum it up thusly.

Crystal: Still my favorite. \o/

And seriously, I know people knock on the switch-up this week, but as somebody who's never watched before this season I think this season's crowd could use it after the first week. This week it gave the girls extra time to practice and tested the guys by forcing them to get their shit together with a day less. Next week, the other way around.

Also, as much as I think Jacob's a festering spittoon, I read the girls' night recap anyway and find myself agreeing with him that somewhere in the middle of staring at Crystal with adoring hearts in my eyes, I firmly believe that she probably smells like a New Age store which is one of my FAVORITE scents in the whole wide world. (Hot Topic always smells like a cheap knockoff version of that smell, which is half of the reason I inevitably browse in there even if I'm broke. Mmmm, New Age store smell. :D)

She was AMAZING. She's totally my fave.

Also, screw people for knocking the switchup. She was in the hospital with/to avoid further diabetes complications. Considering these people are probably rehearsing a hell of a long time without adequate nutrition, I don't think it was unreasonable to not disqualify her for that.

Side note: I was totally blown the hell away by Siobhan. The girls are pwning it this season.

I'm so torn about this season - I really don't like the huge disparity in ability between the good singers (Crystal and Siobhan) and everyone else, and the fact that I'll have to suffer through everyone else since those two will make it far, but on the other hand... Crystal and Siobhan!
