-- I'm in an incredibly good mood this morning, which is weird considering I have no money until Friday, didn't write like I planned to today, and was all happy about not having to take pain meds yesterday for my tooth only to wake up this morning and pound back a few ibuprofens.

-- I really wish my new MP3 player would get here already. I got my grubby paws on Pushing Daisies once again because the new MP3 player has video capabilities, so I'm going to have a bit of a nostalgic run and throw Pushing Daisies and the first season of Veronica Mars and Journeyman on there. I like listening to the audiobooks at work, don't get me wrong, but I'm running out of stuff I want to listen to.

-- I've seen half of the episodes of Top Gear and while I've learned almost absolutely nothing about cars in the process, I have learned that I have no shame in staring dreamily at Richard Hammond in a public setting, and that Oliver sinking into that lake in Africa nearly made me cry.

-- Hundredth episode of SPN on Thursday! I started my new shift at work but I swapped that day with the girl next to me so she can go to a doctor's appointment, which means I'll be getting home from work early that day.

For all of its considerable flaws, I do still love this show. Let's be fair -- the current mytharc hits pretty much every single one of my fictional kinks, save the one where a woman kicks ass and comes out on top. (*grumbles*) But hell, give me angsty boys and the end of the world. Give it to me good. :D

It's the one show I most wish I could write for. Granted, that's because I don't just think I can do better than the current writing staff, I know I can, but STILL.

Happily, Oliver was rescued and shipped back to London, where the producers delight in putting him (and James May's piano, and Jeremy Clarkson's drum kit) at risk in various challenges. Hammond actually forfeited a challenge in one instance rather than risk backing an 18-wheeler into Oliver.

I, too, cried at Oliver sinking. And then I /cheered/ when he was fixed. Oh, Top Gear.
