The kitten wins.

apocalypsosSo I went up to the house to play with Wyatt, who's being kept separate from the other cats because he's got a bit of an infection on his ears. That left just the two of us alone in my parents' game room over their garage, so I turned on the TV.
He spent most of the time I was flipping through the channels bounding around after toy mice and rubbing up against me and purring at the top of his lungs, all during Airplane II and I'm Pregnant And Bipolar right up until the channel changed on its own (per, I imagine, my dad's instructions) to Cats 101.
I have never seen a cat become so enraptured with a television in my life. He'd plop his little butt right in front of the TV during the show and then bound off during the commercials, then plop right back down again when I'd pick him up and show him the cats were back on the screen.
I haven't laughed that hard in weeks. :D

Speaking of TV shows, if you haven't already gotten a chance to watch Life, the gorgeous Discovery Channel documentary series, they're having a marathon starting tomorrow at noon. I squealed a bit when I found that out before, but that could have just been because I had a wriggling kitten in my lap at the time.

In completely unrelated news, yesterday at work "If I Were Gay" popped up on my MP3 player and I realized after listening to it that you could make a Dean/Castiel vid out of that song (although I doubt it hasn't been used already for that very purpose) and end up mining 90% of the damn thing from this week's episode. Heh.
