Oh, holy fried and breaded carp, I could actually finish this fucker. :D
(I still want a pony if I do. Or money! Money would be nice. Or candy! I'm a sucker for candy. Or, you know, if Jensen, Jared and/or Jeff aren't doing anything this weekend ...)

Date: 2010-05-02 12:40 am (UTC)1. Just completely let the characters go where they want no matter how batshit.
2. Make them do something batshit.
3. Ooo, there's also the trick I do where I write down all of the dialogue first so I know how the scene is going to go and then write the dialogue around it. It's what I'm doing now, actually.
4. Are you writing linearly? Skip ahead if need be. Try writing scenes you know you need to or want to write and then backstep until you get to the problem scene. At least that way you know where your destination is.

Date: 2010-05-02 12:47 am (UTC)I've resorted to mangling Jensen's hand in a bandsaw and having him build Jared a life sized Dalek in order to up my word count. Seriously, it's crap but I'm doing it for the sake of completion.
The dialogue is easy for me to write. Going back and filling it in, isn't.
