EDIT: So I was trying to do the math like, "Wait, when did they meet Chuck and when did Castiel take the amulet?" They met Chuck in 4.18 and Castiel took the amulet in 5.02.

Which confoozled me, BUT BUT BUT. What if Castiel was working with Chuck because he knew damn well who he was underneath the scruff and booze smell? So he took the amulet because Chuck!God asked him to?

I still don't know what I believe in (as in if Cas knew or not) but Chuck/Kripke being god? I can totally jump on board with that. I mean, Joss has that job, but I always considered myself a polytheist.
