Things sort of suck on toast.

So I am currently out of a car until the heater core gets fixed. The mechanic told me it could hold for a little while from what he saw, but apparently a little while isn't quite as long as either one of use would have hoped. *sigh*
On the bright side, I don't have anywhere to go because I have a book to finish editing. Of course, I'm also not speaking to my mom right now, so there's that.
Tomorrow I'm taking a walk over to the local bank and I'm going to see what my chances are of getting a car loan. They'll probably tell me no, but it's worth a shot. My last car loan was through them and I never missed a payment, but the downside was that the loan stayed in my mom's name. There's a really nice used car at the local dealership that I would love to get, but I know damn well, there's no way I'd get it without a miracle. Hell, I couldn't even get the rusty heaps parked right next to it. But it's worth a shot.
And now onto better things. Like, say, SYTYCD.
-- I squeaked when I saw Jason on choreography. And I didn't even like Jason that much but, HI JASON!
-- I didn't miss Mary at all.
-- TEDDY! I loved Teddy last season so I was so glad to see him back, and he's improved!
-- Aw, I was all hopeful for Megan Carter.
That's about it. I'd probably be more squeeful if I hadn't been sitting in a McDonald's last night when it aired.
Hey, you know what the nasty side effect of working for a prescription drug plan call center is? Suddenly understanding how your own medical/prescription/dental insurances work. (Not knowing what any of it meant was actually sort of comforting. "I have to file what and do what?!" Now I'm all, "Oh, right, I know that.")
Speaking of, I took my first calls on my new plan today. It wasn't all that bad, really, since there's less to do than in the other plan, but being on the phones still massively sucks.
Okay, I have three days to hit my own personal deadline for finishing the Heroine Addiction edit and thanks to my stupid car troubles I still have eleven chapters to go. So if I'm a bit hard to find this weekend, that would be why.
