I think what tips the scale into "Awwwww" for me is that he's an obviously happy gay kid.

Exactly! It's an awkward commercial obviously just pushing a product, but it's nice to see a gay kid AND see that he's happy.

This is 100% perfect. The acting is subtle. The father, although clueless or in denial, obviously adores his son. The kid's not angsty and doomed... he's actually glowing, in love.

Too bad the ads they have stateside are so bland.
