So I spent the entire day trying to come up with ways to get a few extra bucks to cover the cost of the headlight (just in case the insurance doesn't pull through, which I'm definitely not counting on ... that's just not the way my life works) and right now the most likely option is selling what few DVDs I have left. I probably only watch ten or so of the sixty or so DVDs I have left, so I may just go through them and see which ones are worth selling and have a $5 free-for-all.

I'm already pushing it with my trip budget as is. Knocking a good chunk of it off so I can fix my headlight puts me seriously close to not being able to go, and at this point if I don't get to go on this trip I really will have a breakdown. The entire reason I'm taking this road trip is because I desperately need a break.

I haven't had a Status Of The Writer post in a while, I think. Mostly because:

-- I didn't finish the GPW edit.
-- I didn't finish my [livejournal.com profile] vampirebigbang.
-- I probably won't finish my [livejournal.com profile] werewolfbigbang.
-- I seem to be completely incapable of starting something new.
-- I scheduled half of my vacation days for November so I could work on my NaNo project and I don't even know if I'll have the creative energy to sign up this year.

God, I wish something would click already. Ugh.

-- Aw, come on, Gretchen. You were so cool before your forehead cracked open and that MASSIVE ego rolled out.

-- CASANOVA SKINNED A FAKE PUPPY. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I would be interested in the DVDS, I think! would it be $5 or $5 plus shipping?

Also, hi, I am someone random who thinks you are cool!

I just want to smack Gretchen so hard now. And I accidentally started a TT on Twitter by commenting #STFUGretchen.

I don't think I've ever gone from liking a contestant to loathing them THAT quickly before. God, what an insufferable dip. (Also, I'm pretty sure I've seen her garment before on a hooker in an Eddie Murphy movie from the '80s.)

I know! How was she in the top when the awesome plate flamenco dress wasn't? (I like Michael C - he's a snarky bastard)

Dumb suggestion, probably, but if you have any real jewelry that you don't wear, even broken chains you might have lying around....jewelry stores around here are still paying pretty well.

It may be worth checking any car wreckers in your area. You can sometimes get parts cheap from there, and you can usually check by phone. That might knock the cost down a little.

Yeah. I spent most of the second half of the episode going STFU Gretchen, and praying she didn't win again, because that would be completely insufferable. I'm glad Andy won, I loved his dress.

Casanova so should've gone home. He's had his chance. At least Sara knew that her dress was shit. Casanova was still clueless about his skinned dead puppy.

Have you considered taking some finished longish work of yours and publishing it on iBookstore? For you, who already have reasonable net presence, it'll almost certainly be a faster way to make money out of your writing than hoping for an old-style publishing contract.
