Mar. 8th, 2004 10:15 pmHey, there.
If I were to do something fairly weird -- like, say, start my own Live365 station -- would you guys be interested at all in listening to it? And perhaps, sending me an MP3 mix of your favorite songs so that I can add them to the playlist?
...
Please say yes. I just placed an order for three months worth of airtime.
And let's just remember how terrifying my taste in music can be. Aw, come on. You can't tell me having some input on the playlist of a radio station (albeit an online one) doesn't have some appeal. I was going to kind of go for the good songs and bands that never make the Top 40 stations and should, damn it, just to trounce the same 5 songs they keep playing over and over again. And also, cheese. I'm talking the kind of audio cheese that makes your brain fry and go, "Holy shit, I haven't heard that song in ages! And for good reason! *squeals excitedly anyway*" (You know what I have to do? I have to see if there's a list of the songs they used to play on The Wheel of Cheese on the radio back home. Classic example -- that song Joey Lawrence sang that one time. Now, that was three minutes of pure Velveeta.)
In semi-related news, I just downloaded "Lucas with the Lid Off" on Imesh.
See?! Please send me good music, or the eardrums get it.

Date: 2004-03-09 02:48 am (UTC)I listen to punk, rockabilly/psychobilly/cowpunk, reggae, ska, old wave (eek - when I started listening to it, it was called "new wave"), Finnish folk-rock, Celtic traditional music, proto-Goth (Bauhaus & the Church, and that type of stuff), some jangly, poppy stuff like the B-52's ("Wanna be the Captain of the Enterprise/Wanna be the Queen of the Zulus/Let's meet, and have a baby now") and XTC, and some a capella stuff like Zap!Mama and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
I don't listen to top-40 radio, but I'm pretty sure none of my songs are ever played.
Lemme know if you still want mp3's from me.

Hit me up. ;D I love to share.

(As to where I found them: arduous searching on WinMX, days after days. People don't want to share 'em, it seems! *sigh*)

Ah, the sharing problem. Yeah, same here. I'm surprised I got as good a quality MP3 of "Ai no Fugue" as I did. :)
