apocalypsosThis is the conversation I had earlier with Progressive, who I should mention have already clarified that this falls under my deductible. (Hi, I work in insurance, I knew that.)
Rep: "We're going to send someone to your mechanic to assess the damage, and they should arrive in the next 24-48 hours, so you should tell your mechanic to hold off on repairing the car until they arrive."
Me: "... yeah, I kind of need the car tonight, and he's reliable enough to get the car fixed today."
Rep: "Well, see, that could be a problem --"
Me: "..."
Oh, no, you guys! If they don't assess the damage on the car they might not not give me any fucking money to pay for it.
