So Christine O'Donnell (who, for those of you not following American politics, is the batshit Tea Party prude who won the Republican nomination for the Senate in Delaware) is batshit. I know I already said she was batshit, but it cannot be stressed enough.

She's said a lot of batshit things -- the most appalling I've read this week from when she was on Bill Maher's show way back when and told Eddie Izzard that she wouldn't even lie to Hitler if there was a Jewish family in her attic; "Of course, Mr. Hitler, the Franks are right this way" -- but I think my favorite is this, from waaaaay back when she was on some MTV sex special or whatever that I must have missed and am not sure I could tolerate watching on YouTube:

"It is not enough to be abstinent with other people, you also have to be be abstinent alone. The Bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery, so you can't masturbate without lust."

You guys, I'm the sluttiest virgin you know. :D

I can't stop imagining her as Chris O'Donnell circa Batman and Robin. This just makes things worse.

The Republican Party: shooting themselves in the foot since 2010. I don't know how good a senator Coons would be, and until a couple days ago nobody cared because Coons is the sucker the Democrats talked into going against Castle. And nobody in Nevada likes Harry Reid anymore. But with O'Donnell and Angle instead of sane Republicans, the Democrats are gonna hold both those seats no trouble.
