My birthday's in eleven days. I'll be turning five for the twenty-eighth time.

So instead of attempting the dropped-hint version of asking for an e-book, I point-blank told my brother to pass it on to my parents.

That said, I did amend the request to say that I don't really NEED it, and my mom's trying to scrape together a couple thousand bucks so she can buy the dilapidated house next door at auction and tear it down, so if they don't have the spare cash because of it, I'd rather she got her grubby paws on the house already so she can stop stressing out that some psycho neighbor might move in. That was the house the last psycho neighbor lived in, and quite frankly I don't think anybody in the neighborhood is against her buying it and tearing it down.

I still want an e-book, though. And inevitably if I want something expensive, I have to wait for Christmas and drop ENORMOUS hints.

The funniest bit was when I brought up Christmas and what to get Mom and Dad.

Me: "I was thinking of getting one of them an e-book, but I'm not sure which one would get the most use of it. Who do you think would like an e-book more?"
Bryan: *points at me*
Me: *as he's lifting his hand to point at me* "... I mean, aside from me."
