I really was going to sit down and write my "Why Lisa Braeden Is Awesomecakes" manifesto, and hell, maybe I'll still do that sometime this weekend. But I will just state the main point of my manifesto, which goes a little something like this:

Lisa is a bendy family-loving brunette who doesn't take Dean's shit. It's like somebody found Dean's personal kinks button and hit it repeatedly over and over again with a giant mallet like a pornographic Whack-a-Mole. Sort of like what Dean apparently did with Lisa's "good china" to make her tell everybody how he was her Best Sexcapade Ever. She's like Jess plus ten years, minus the sexy-nurse costume, multiplied to the third power with actual screentime.

THE END.

It's ... not a very complicated manifesto. :D

What's this about good china? And the Lisa who lives in Dean's head I can see as being like Jess, but not the Lisa who lives outside Dean's head, because we actually know shit about Lisa. Jess, she's tall and blonde and either doesn't ask questions or doesn't expect answers, and there's an Our Lady of Guadalupe thing at her gravestone, and unless we take the nurse costume as indication that she's premed (and until somebody goes through the pilot frame by frame to find everything that might indicate something about Jess), that's all we know about her. I love Jess but Show's treatment of her infuriates me in a way that the treatment of no other character does, because every other character I can think of bar some of the demon hosts, there's some indication that there's more to the character than being sexually attractive to somebody else.
