After a couple of mentions of snowflakes falling on ye olde friends list, I thought to myself, "Self, we have not checked the Weather Channel website lately to see if there are any snow flurries in the forecast."
So I clicked on my bookmark for Yahoo, and as the website was loading turned to look out my living room windows just in time to scream, "GYAH!" and rear away in horror at the sight of the first snowflakes of the season breezing past my windows.
Obviously, it's just a few here and there, but STILL. Now may be the time to steal my sherpa blanket back from my cat. *pouts*
*sigh*
In any event, NaNo starts in just a few short hours, and what sort of plotting have I done today? Uh ... well, none, really. Granted, it wouldn't be the first time I've started NaNo with absolutely no clue what I'm doing, but it's still a bit of a downer.
That said, my ideal situation for this week is that when I go back to the day job on Thursday, I'll already have at least 20,000 words written, because even with working at Wegmans on Monday and Wednesday I have no other plans whatsoever and therefore plenty of time to devote to focusing solely on writing.
... OH GOD NOW THE FLURRIES ARE COMING DOWN HARDER. D: Can't we just skip ahead to spring already? Or at least to Christmas? Urgh. I'm going to need chai for this, STAT.
