I think I might go see that and get the DVD of the original Dawn, since I've never seen it, and then save this version for when I go home to see my brother for his birthday in a few weeks. I'm still wavering, though. Depends on the mood I'm in tomorrow, I guess.
the DVD of the original is cool (though they're releasing a bigger badder edition with more bells & whistles in like september). if you've never seen the original you need to be prepared for some bad '70s hair and even worse library music, but it's still great.
As one who has seen Eternal Sunshine and counts the original Dawn as one of the all time bests, I say have an eyeball orgy: see both, then rent the DVD.
Well, I'd like Eternal Sunshine better if it featured Elijah Wood gnawing on Jim Carrey's brain- but any movie where Kate Winslet has that many truly atrocious hair colorings can't be all bad. That said, Ving Rhames and Sarah Polley are a truly inspired pairing- pity he never guested on Road to Avonlea.
