apocalypsosI wish I could justify spending thirty-eight bucks to buy an awesome red knitted mohawk hat, but I haven't been working THAT much overtime. It just feels like I've worked that much overtime.
Although, to be technical, I *did* work that much overtime, but I spent it all on Christmas gifts and snow tires. Both of which are more important than a hat even if it's a really, really awesome hat.
Anyway, I left overtime early today to go Christmas shopping with my brother and picked up a pair of black ballet flats lined in sheepskin. I've been wanting to get a pair for a while, but they were finally on sale for fifteen bucks at Payless, so I snapped them up. Yay for buying little things to tide my greedy little ass over until Christmas! \o/
Aaaaaaand now I'm going to try and work on my Yuletide. Which, at this point, mostly means getting my grubby paws on the source for one of my other prompts options and seeing if I can come up with a less involved option than the one I matched on. Which I adore, don't get me wrong, but I think I adore it waaaaay too much with only a week to go. My brain wants to write an 80,000 magnum opus instead of a nice simple story that I can write by the deadline.
Then again, my brain also wants to write a Community story where the study group finds out that an anonymous someone at Greendale has been writing slashy Abed/Troy fanfic based on Abed's film class videos and posting the stories ... uh, somewhere. I don't know where, I just have this mental image of everybody being sure it's somebody in the group, and instead it turns out to be the Dean or Chang or White Abed or whatever, aaaaand then Troy and Abed have the sex.
... I really don't know whether that means my brain should be encouraged or not.
