The tea junkie strikes again.

apocalypsosSo somebody on ye olde friends list brought up Adagio Teas and I ordered a few samples to try them out at work.
The wild strawberry tea was my favorite so far. The strawberry taste could stand to be stronger, but it's a great fruity tea and it smells fantastic, like spring and strawberry gum. I may just be happy enough to take hits off the baggie of what little of the tea I have left. I seriously have to buy the 16 oz. bag to have at work.
I was actually surprised how much I liked the chocolate chai, but that's probably because the only other chocolate chai I've had was from Wegmans. The loose chocolate chai there has big hunks of chocolate and coconut slivers in it, so between the two it ends up tasting like hot chocolate with a little kick. Not bad, really, just not an everyday drink.
Adagio's chocolate chai, however, is a bit more subtle, to the point where my brother wouldn't try it because it didn't smell chocolatey enough. With a bit of cream and sugar it came out really nice. I think anybody else would probably wish the chocolate was stronger, but I'm a less-is-more type with this sort of tea. That said, I got the spiced apple chai, too, and I thought that could have stood to have a stronger apple flavor. It was my only complaint about the spiced apple chai. The apple flavor is stronger in the Cinnamon Apple Spice Celestial Seasonings I buy, for heaven's sake.
I also got the cherry, which smelled more flowery than like cherries and tasted like deep-throating a geranium, and sweet potato pie, which I had high hopes for and and which ended up tasting like feet. EW.
I really need to indulge in a large bag each of the strawberry and the chocolate chai and pick up some other samples. I'm trying to keep from drinking as much soda and having shiny new teas to try out helps a bunch. :)

So I was going to try and write my Yuletide assignment even though I defaulted, but the muse is just not there today. Eh, maybe I'll get lucky and my muse will kick in later.
For now, however, I plan to do a little rearranging in the living room, print out what I've gotten written of Cigarettes And Shambles, and see if I can at least handle outlining the damn thing.
