More Oscarwatch
Jan. 18th, 2011 10:58 pmI finally watched The King's Speech.
Colin Firth is going to win an Oscar, you guys. *flails*
That said, I loved everybody and everything about it, but the one thing that made collapse in gleeful raptures was the scene where Logue's wife comes home and there's the future Queen Mum all, "Oh, hey!" and Mrs. Logue just stands there all, "OMFG THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND IS HERE," and then OMFG THE KING OF ENGLAND IS HERE, and Colin Firth is all smug and hot and Jennifer Ehle is all o.O and I collapsed to my floor in a fit of dorky giggles. A man possessed of a good fortune and a persistent stammer must be in want of a wife -- or a good speech therapist, motherfuckers. Heh.
Geoffrey Rush was excellent, but I still think Christian Bale's got the Best Supporting Actor Oscar locked.
