My mom stopped by to see Simon and could not stop laughing at Otis, who has become, in her own words, "the homeliest Siamese cat I've ever seen." And then both she and my grandfather made fat jokes about him.

Poor chunky monkey. I gave him an extra snuggle after they left. It's like I told them -- either he's fat and happy or skinny and sick. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground.
