apocalypsosThe good news:
1. The quality definitely improved over last week.
2. Gary and his autism: Still fantastic and authentic.
3. Liking Rachel even more.
4. I loved the villain and can't wait until he comes back for more. (I mean, REALLY. Never trust any show, book, comic, or movie where someone dies and there's no body.)
5. Ooo, look! A mytharc! Granted, anyone with any experience with comics or Heroes already knows this mytharc, but still.
The bad news:
1. Still don't like Bill.
2. Warming up to Nina, but not much.
3. Cameron bores me.
4. I love David Straitharn, but I realized tonight that there are about three or four other things I'd much rather see him in than watch any more of him in this show. (Sneakers and Temple Grandin come to mind immediately, and also, why don't I own a copy of Big Girls Don't Cry ... They Get Even? Better yet, why doesn't everyone own a copy of it?)
5. Um, what happened to "Rachel is concentrating with one sense, and therefore can't use the other four"? Because she seemed to be doing just fine in this episode.
In summation: Better than last week's episode. Not that that's saying much, but still.

I am bitter about the whole Borders thing, mostly because the closest non-used bookstore to me is a Borders, and the next-closest is a forty-five minute ride away in Wilkes-Barre. It makes me feel a little bad because if I wanted to pack up my laptop and go somewhere to write, I always went to Panera. Their wi-fi's always been free, they've got good food, and you don't get the stink-eye from other customers for sitting too long. Panera's got TONS of seats. Our local Borders? Not so much.
