I mean, I get it on some level, because Wickham's supposed to be handsome and charming -- that's kind of the POINT of Wickham -- but at the same time, this version of George Wickham is, like, the most malicious I've ever seen. Like, how many awful things does one guy have to do before you stop telling yourself that the entire story really *isn't* the tale of George Wickham, Horribly Maligned by Everybody But Secretly Really Sweet?
