Yes. Have gone out to dinner at the Italian place my parents frequent so much they know the waitresses's kids, and Oh. My. God. See, this is what I should get when I order shrimp scampi. I'm pretty sure the dishful I got could write the Great American Novel. Mmmmm.

So now my brother's off to ... well, possibly not to the strip club, but whatever.

Oh, and you should see the kitten. A week or so ago, Spence fell into the sink and burned his paw on a hot frying pan, and so he's been wearing a plastic cone to keep from licking the bandage. It's hilaaaaarious. Think the dog in One Crazy Summer, but replace it with a very small, lovable and vocal Siamese.

So, yeah, my Dad lives in this bitsy town that's like the middle of nowhere aside from straddling a freeway, and they recently got a really good Italian restaurant -- like, founded by actual Italians. This restaurant has no real reason to be in this podunk little town (notable only for being a Dallas "bedroom community") but there it is. Fantastic.

And poor kitty!
