Today, I figured what the hell, I'd bring my DVD player with me to work. So I start packing up my stuff and go looking for my DVD wallet, which I brought with me to Pennsylvania on the bus.

It is, unfortunately, not to be found.

Ahem. Let me rephrase.

The fucker's gone, that's what it is.

I hadn't checked for it since Sunday since I just assumed it was in the knapsack with my DVD player. I know it was on the bus with me because I dug it out to watch "Fight Club". When the battery ran low, I got really annoyed and stuffed them both back into my knapsack. Theoretically, that's where the damn thing should still be (complete with the 11 fucking movies that were in it), but alas.

ALAS?! *headwall again*

I'm trying to be calm about this rather than insanely fucking pissed off, I really am. I'm going to give the bus station a call tomorrow, but I think we don't need to start a betting pool here to guess whether or not they'll have the damn thing.

I really don't want to think about how incredibly shitty this is, I really don't. Methinks dearest Lady Destiny needs to go out and get laid so that she can stop fucking with my goddamn life.

I think I need to put on one of the movies I bought yesterday and feel wistful and sad. Then again, I could watch "Jaws". Somehow, the thought of Robert Shaw being eaten by a great white leans more towards great-tasting and less-filling than wistful and sad, but whatever.

Almost the same thing happened to me. Only it was my CD case full of my favorite CDs left at school back in December. ...Only I found the CD case in my basement about a month ago...so there is hope!

Bugger. Reminds me a bit of when my CD wallet was stolen from my car -- and then I caught the guy who did it trying to sell them at the local used music store and got all of them back but 11 disks.

Here's hoping they turn up again -- and if not, at least the wallet wasn't filled to capacity with DVDs!
