"Hell". Just a good, old-fashioned, multipurpose word.
Close runner-up is a very new-fangled word, "Frell." Can be used in a multitude of social situations, wherein there are folks who would not take kindly to the use of "fuck".
I have to go with "frell" also. "Frelling dren!" if I'm really annoyed.
I've spent enough time immersed in Farscape that it means something to me, but I can say it pretty much anywhere I want to (and I do). It's pretty much replaced all other swear words for me except "shit" (which is my back-up and most favored English profanity).
The advantages of swearing in a obscure foreign language: It sounds somehow profane even if you don't know what it means (so you tend to get the point), and no one can actually object to me saying it.
Fuck, I never actually thought about favorites. Hmmm, what the fuck could it be? I like "damn" a whole fucking lot, and I say "shit" all the fucking time. What a fucking dilemma!
"Fuckmonkeys", or "monkeyfuck". Also, "Oh, shitters!" except that last one has to be said in a high-pitched Irish accent, or else it's just not as funny.
Fucktard mostly, anything incorporating the work fuck. Asshat closely follows, and if I'm in shock or just suprised I love the phrase 'What the merry fuck?' I probably overuse it around Christmas, (festive swearing!)
-ass. Lame-ass, cheapass (http://www.cheapass.com), "long-ass set of Detroit's best rock," punk-ass, crazy-ass, huge-ass . . . just about any adjective can be made profane and therefore better by hooking an -ass onto the end.
Is there a name for a word that modifies an adjective? It's late and I can't remember.
Cunt. Especially used as anything but a noun; cunting, cunty, etc.
"You and your cunting cunty ways".
Also, keep in mind I'm Australian and we're a lot more easy-going about profanity, here. (For example, religious swear words like "jesus", "damn", etc are totally allowed on TV.) That's what happens when your country is founded by criminals, not calvinists.
"fuck fuckity fuck fuck", "fuckmook", "dumbass", "jesus tapdancing christ", "suckballs", "asshat", "fuck me freddy", "fuckery" - (as in, "You're an idiot, and your assignment is an act of pure human fuckery.")
This could be very therapeutic. *g* My preference for a word is always highly dependent on context, but to keep it short: asshat, bugger, cunt, twat, asshole, fuck. Hmm. It really is all about orifices and what we do with them, isn't it?
Shite, or variations on common cuss words in different languages. Merde is also good, but it must be said with the appropriate level of completely pretentious disgust.
