Am watching Deep Impact while I type up the Pairings List. You know, I want Morgan Freeman to be my president and teach me science.

Date: 2004-05-14 09:01 pm (UTC)They don't have to destroy the whole planet. They can feel free to trash an earthquake-ridden L.A. or a boat full of New Year's partiers or a plane full of cannibalistic rugby players and I'm perfectly happy.
I keep meaning to find a good '70s disaster movie still I like so that I can caption it with, "Only George Kennedy can save us now!"

I love it against my own better judgement because it is genuinely funny (I'll give it that much) and it's just so easy to make fun of. And you gotta love a movie where Ben Affleck has more chemistry with Bruce Willis than with the female lead.
... aaaad now I want to watch that instead of Triplets of Belleville. Well, hell, neither one of them are going anywhere. *toddles off to play with her DVDs*
