I just realized that I'm wearing a pink hooded zip-up sweatshirt and blue jeans just like Hermione in the trailer. Jesus, I'm going to buy PoA tickets tonight and I subconsciously dressed in the theme. *headsmack*

Do you think I could get away with punching the first Draco lookalike I see dressed like this?

Yeah, didn't think so. Nuts.

EDIT: I just realized what a Gigantic Film Nerd I am, because it took me ten whole minutes of explaining in tremendous detail to Lieutenant Asshat exactly why I wanted tickets to the 1 p.m showing at the theater on Saturday above all the other showings.

So, why *do* you want the 1pm Saturday showing?

I prefer the 11:30am Sunday showing myself, but I suspect that my reasons may not be the same as yours.

Well, if I can't go on the first day, I'd rather go on the second day, so Saturday it is. It's not quite as hectic in the afternoons, so I'd much rather one of the first showings. I'm obviously going to have to wait in line for the theater to open with other people who were smart enough to buy their tickets early for a movie like this, so when they open the doors, everybody else in the front of the line (because I always get there waaaaaay early) will make a mad dash for the very first showing. Meanwhile, I'll be the first one in line at the concession stand (which is advantageous for me because I prefer going to the movies alone), meaning I'll be one of the first, if not THE first person in my showing, which means I should get one of the good seats right in the middle behind the railing. And if I get there early, I have time to relax and write stuff before the movie. Plus, if I get there for the earlier showings on Saturday, I get my review done and out of the way first thing.

See? Detailed. :) (I ended up getting tickets for the 12:30 pm. showing, which is just as good.)

You have no idea how much WOE I feel at not having a proper, multiplex cinema near me so that I too can play 'plan-the-cinema-trip-with-military-precision". Instead I just have to turn up to one of the very few showings in my crappy TWO SCREEN cinema and hope for the best.

(I have a thing about multiplex cinemas. I love them. I almost wanted to wait a month to see PoA, just so I could go to a proper cinema for the first time.)

(I mean the first time to see PoA, not the first time going to a multiplex. I'm a multiplex whore.)

You know, there's not a lot of things I like better in the Washington area than in rural PA, but one of them's the 22-screener I go to. I love that place to tiny little bits. (Although the Cinemark we have at home is equally lovely. *swoon* I'm such a movie theater whore.)

Oh, it's wonderful. It's two stories high with a huge open lobby. Plus, it's got movie quotes in the carpeting and big pictures from classic movies on the walls. I adore it so. :)
