Rec me (and anybody else on my friends list who might not have read them) the best original LJ posts you've ever read. (Imagine you were trying to sell your friends on getting LJ accounts by making them read really, really, really great posts.) Fanfic, essays, funny stuff, anything ... just as long as it's not a repost.

The only person on the whole of LJ that makes me laugh to the degree you do is [livejournal.com profile] crevette.

The two entries of hers that I have saved in Memories are as follows:

The Star Wars Holiday Special -- HoYay in Review

Internal Memoranda between Crev's Body Parts

Enjoy!

Have you seen [livejournal.com profile] lalejandra's antennae fic (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=lalejandra&keyword=Lotrips+:+Antennae&filter=all)? It's LotR RPS, but [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana took the 'verse and brought us an awesome Harry/Draco fic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/circe_tigana/440557.html) tonight.

I'm kindofsortof obsessed with the antennae. And other special...parts.

Just went through my memories and remembered about [livejournal.com profile] sleepysaj's letter to President Bush (http://www.livejournal.com/users/sleepysaj/7043.html) that caused quite a stir. It ended up floating around the internet as junk mail from Bette Midler at one point. Her whole journal is basically a really interesting, well-thought out political debate.

Oh, God, I was reading all the antennae fic while I was at work waiting to get a ride, and I damn near died giggling. The thought that the entire LOTR cast has extra bits kills me. :)

[livejournal.com profile] tamnonlinear's Reproductive Cycle: The Play might be the best LJ post I've ever read.

I'm also rather fond of this post a screen capture from the time a whole bunch of us decided to be pirates. We'd all get ready, someone would give the order, and then anywhere between five or ten of us would Arrrrrrrrrr!spam a poor, unsuspecting friend of ours. In some countries, this qualifies as high entertainment.

Anything [livejournal.com profile] rote posts is generally really fucking funny. His trip to Israel and scientific analysis of what's wrong with conservatives stick out as recent gems.

[livejournal.com profile] necrodiac is the sickest fuck I've never met. She hosts an advice column from a creepy skeleton toy and has educational posts about midget wrestling.

[livejournal.com profile] springheel_jack has a whole collection of Maoist Family Circus comics.

[livejournal.com profile] tpunk writes the best drunk posts ever. Here's a recent one. I can't seem to find it right now, but a few months back he had a hilarious post about finding a giant turd that was too big to flush. His house is so great that it has its own LJ community,[livejournal.com profile] _downwardspiral, and everyone who posts there is also worth reading. Especially [livejournal.com profile] corvus.
