Well, I'm probably going to see "King Arthur" this weekend, too, but what the hell?

[Poll #317132]

Keep in mind, these are the ones I already have and I want to do something I don't already own. Also, comedies are hard, 'cause, you know, they make their own jokes.

I say, Equilibrium. Christian Bale, Taye Diggs, Sean Bean, cool-ass fight scenes, a plot that is hokum in its purest form, more fight scenes, absurdity, violence and generalised genius.

(Yes, I'm probably preaching to the choir. I want to see your review of Equilibrium, is all)

What do you think of Donnie Darko and Frailty? Good movies? Worth purchasing? For a non packrat I mean?

Donnie Darko is amazing. Layered and intelligent and quirky (in that good way, not in the 'ooo, look how cool I am' way), surreal...makes you really think.

Footloose! Footloose!

He's a big-city kid in a small town.
They said he'd never win.
He knew he had to.

Whoops, disregard my choice. I seem to be in a Cameron-y mood; how about The Abyss?

I seconded Footloose, but I'll have to second Ocean's 11 also, because dude. Brad Pitt does a commentary, and it's worth watching twice in a row for that.

Are you planning on reviewing Miracle, or is it sacred?

. . . don't mind me. It's July and I'm going through hockey withdrawal. Unrestricted Free Agency is flippin' BORING, and that's the only thing that's going on right now.

Oh, and of course NOW I think of more. Dirty Dancing, of course.

I love that commentary... when I'm having trouble sleeping at night, I pop it in... and fall asleep with Brad, Matt, and Andy...

I'll second that... you can't go wrong with young, hot, dancing Patrick Swayze in leather and shades...

It occurs to me, belatedly, that I Married a Strange Person kinda is a comedy, and probably you should review something that, I dunno, other people might actually have seen. Or that you possibly could find.

Keep an eye open for my suggestion anyway, because it's, um.... Well. It is... whatever it is. I can't think of a suitable one-word summation, but one probably exists somewhere, a word meaning strange and funny and musical and occasionally over-the-top and animated and bizarre and somewhat like having a drug experience, but in a good way, and that word is what I Married a Strange Person is.

It's worth seeing once, anyway.
