Okay, so maybe watching Office Space while getting ready for work on a day when I couldn't possibly feel any worse is not the bst idea in the world.

In other news, it'd be really nice if the people who find out cheat codes for games would hurry up and get some on the web for the PoA computer game. I just need to know where I'm going wrong in Ron's Carpe Retractum final, damn it. *growls*

Office Space is the official "lines between reality and fiction are blurring a bit much" movie of our office. We consider it mandatory viewing for any poor sap who joins our ranks. If they don't run screaming from the building when we tell them it's almost a quasi-documentary of life in Health Care Policy, we keep them. Sometimes we keep the ones that running screaming too, though. Because it's fun to torture the innocents.

I don't even consider buying computer games without cheat codes. While I understand that many games are played by teenagers with absolutely nothing better to do than learn pattern repetition, I couldn't even beat Mario Bros. The first one. Me and pattern repetition don't mix.

Just let me find all the spiffy rooms spiffy things and slaughter monsters in spasmic bloody drama and I'll be happy. But please give me the cheat codes so I can actually reach the room and survive past the first level without getting bored.

I understand this makes me the typical female player.

I try to only resort to cheat codes when I seriously can find no freaking way out of a situation. With Ron's final exam, as it is, you're already stuck flying over chasms to skinny board planks that spin, for crying out loud, and just for added fun, I'm at a section with no visible exit in which I've tried to spell everything in sight and gotten nowhere. So, my first cheat code for this game. (Yes, I'm cheating on Ron's final exam. Sue me. ;))

I wish I were doing Harry's final exam already. It almost definitely involves the ice slides, which were my favorites.
