Am watching Amelie. Why didn't anybody tell me this was so freaking good?

Oh, wait. You did. Never mind. *sits back to watch*

One of my favorite movies of all time!

Although, I do have a friend named Amelie who has a love/hate relationship with the movie. She loves it because now people can actually pronounce her name properly (and it's a great movie). She hates it because she's tired of the jokes about "you're nothing like your character in the movie".

That being said, I may watch it again. It just seems like a perfect movie for a Sunday afternoon.

Pretty much everyone who likes Amelie becomes an evangelist for the film.

What I like to do is tell people who are strangely reticent that it's a fairy tale. That drags them in.

One of my favorites. Loved it the first time I laid eyes on it.

Ohhh, God Bless Amelie if she exists is all I can say. She is just so lovely! And wonderful! God, if I were a lesbian she would totally be the chosen Love Of My Life. She's just so perfect and sweetly eccentric, but not in an annoying way. Sorry I didn't tell you it was so good - I live in a happy daydream world where all people have seen it already, and will talk about it with me.

P.S. So much alcohol. Cannot cope. Only seventeen, people! Low tolerance! *Falls off chair*

P.P.S And yet, I can still do spelling and grammar correctly. Take note all ye evil abusers of the human language!

Mandatory Older Person Warning: Be careful with the underaged drinking okay? I didn't start drinking a lot until I was 21 and I don't think I missed out on a lot, since I drink pretty regularly now and know my limits.

But having said that, I get more paranoid and obsessive about spelling correctly and typing correctly when I'm drunk than when I'm sober. And considering that until this last year I could barely chat with people who didn't observe proper typing and grammar rules, this is an achievement for me.

Isn't it the sweetest, most wonderful movie ever?

(and breaking the crust of a crème brûlée is one of my favorite things, too ;))
