So, I have a new DVD player. So that's what my savings were for. (Oh, I didn't spend all that much of my savings. Just enough to make me cringe.) The screen's the same size as the other one, but it's much less bulky than the one my mother got me. Of course, my mom got mine on sale, so it wasn't going to be perfect, although God knows I was grateful for it. I think the guys at Best Buy must have thought I was infatuated with the show model, but they were playing ROTK on it, and it was at the part where Pippin sings for Denethor. How can anyone possibly expect me to pay during that? Bring the register over and I'll pay while the battle commences. Sheesh.

Also bought Bartles & Jaymes strawberry daiquiris. I may just be buzzed enough to review Volcano. Maybe.

It's entirely possible. :)

You know, I already feel redneck enough, and then "Sin Wagon" came up on my playlist. *shakes head, then passes you a bottle*

Why not buy a dvd drive for your computer?

Because a portable DVD player fills my three qualifications of being able to watch a DVD on it, being able to hook it up to a TV and use it like a regular DVD player, and being able to take it with me on bus trips so I have something to watch.

I remember this one time (was it on St. Patrick's Day?) when I was at Best Buy and I heard music by The Pogues coming from one of their laptops. I almost literally jumped on the poor clerk and asked him if he'd put it on "Fairytale of New York" for me. So then I listened to the song twice, thank thanked him nicely and went on my merry way.
