Random midnight thought

I think it's horribly unfair that when I sing along to the "Once More With Feeling" songs and I get to "Wish I Could Stay", I have to sing Giles' part because I can't hit Tara's high notes. And when I'm singing along to the "Chicago" soundtrack, my easiest song is "When You're Good to Mama", which may have more to do with attitude than the fact that I'm an alto and it's easier for me to sing low than high.

Then again, I'm not really the best singer on the planet, so maybe I shouldn't be trying any of them. Especially since I think I'm starting to hear dogs in three counties howl.

I'm an alto now too. I used to be a soprano & sometime I try to fool myself that I can still hit those high notes, but mostly, I am wrong abouy that. On a good day, I can singf mezzo soprano maybe. It's just always good to hear that someone else actually sings along to CDs or the radio or whatever,and cares what they sound like too. Sometimes I wonder if my friends think I'm loopy cos I'm always singing along.
