So the protestors aren't allowed to go to Central Park because of possible damage to the grass. So now they just get to wander the streets and gather there anyway later, I'm guessing, 'cause God knows something like this isn't going to stop thousands of protestors. (And I heard it's possibly in the hundreds of thousands, so, yeah. Smooth move.)

This weekend is going to be strangely amusing in a very morbid way for those of us who don't live in NYC, I can already see it coming. And for those of you who do ... well, everybody will leave eventually. *crosses fingers for you*

Weellll, to be fair, it would be awfully hard on the grass. They've been stricter about who gets to use the Great Lawn(?) since they spent millions of dollars restoring it. But I still think they should let the protesters use it to a certain extent. Maybe just a few hours? :(

We offered to spend a weekend re-seeding/turfing the lawn, to pay for the expense of it. Nothing. So we'll be going to Union Square instead!
