I have to go to some stupid training thing at another DHL station this morning. It was really nice of the Glorified Optimist to give me a day's notice for it, too. *eye roll*

I don't know why I'm even bothering to go, since it's just for health benefits stuff anyway and if I don't go, they'll just mail me the paperwork. Of course, now that I've said that, Fate's bound to throw me in front of a truck or make me choke on a pretzel or something equally stupid. If there's a news story about someone getting squished by a jet engine today, that'll probably be me. Or, you know, Jake Gyllenhaal.

I put on a really girly shirt today, just in case I run into Hot Israeli guy today. *crosses fingers* Can't I skip ahead today ten hours until it's time for me to leave work and head to the bus stop?

Hey, at least you got notice. I walked into work one day and announced, "Oh, look, I have to go to training today!" *waving around postal notice* "Hope you don't have any problems covering my route, bye!" The senior supe took it in stride, of course.

BTW, you DHL people knock like sissies. Tell your carriers to pound on doors until nearby glasses rattles or holler or something. (Keith says the DHL carrier for our route did a double-take, blushed and ducked when she saw him).
